goodbye 23, happy birthday to me!

Today, I turn 24 years old. Wow... It seems old, but still young. I guess it just depends which way you look at it.
This past year, a lot happened. I became a homeowner, the mom of a dog, a WIFE!, went to another country for the first time, got the biggest raise yet, met some new friends, learned to be more independent.

And for the next year, here are a few of my goals:
-learn more, more, more about knitting
-start discovering photography
-treasure the special times in my life with important people
-improve the relationship between my husband and I
-DECLUTTER!
-Finish painting the house and adding decor touches
-pay off debts: car (December), credit card (July), and Ashley Furniture bill (March)
-harvest a bigger deer than last year!
-get my house in order, make it more "homey" and disgard things we don't use.

We are going to go shopping today, I ordered "itty bitty hats" and I need a size 7 circ needle and size 7 dpn, so we are going to check at Michael's today. Our JoAnns sucks and doesn't carry either!! boohoo! The lady I work with said I could use my J coupons at M's, so we'll see what happens. Chad needs some work pants and we were going to buy bikes... At least I know I want one.

Speaking of purchases, yesterday we bought a 2001 Polaris Sportsman 500, its a four wheeler. Put us back a bit but I've worked out a budget to replenish our savings by July 2008 from that purchase, and its just cheaper to NOT take out a loan, plus then insurance on it isn't required. Chad is really happy about it, it will be fun to have to take riding places! And its much safer than a dirtbike!

And about the raise above, this week I was given a $100/paycheck raise. I was soooo happy because my raise for the year made me a little less than happy. I guess all my hardwork is paying off! Hurray! :)
