Pictures!

I uploaded a bunch of photos from my camera and I just HAD to put them on here so I actually have 'some' photos on this blog!

First of all.. the buffalo chicken pizza I made... You can find the recipe here. Its so totally delicious!

Next up, a baby hat from Itty Bitty Hats... its the bunny one. I sent it to my friend as a gift for her first baby! its a girl! :) I have already made another one to sell at the yarn swap!

And here is the pink/green hat.. I just made up the design on my own, not very exciting, but I love the color combo.

And here is my lovely lab, Sassy!

hello, again!

I am so horrible at blogging! Jeez! I'm too busy reading everyone else's instead of updating my own. Well, I bought my brother's laptop so maybe I can snag someone's wireless connection while I sit downstairs and watch the hunting channel with my husband and update more often. :o) Our computer is upstairs in my (incredibly messy) office and it gets so darn hot up there in the summer... having no central air sucks! So I usually do what I need to do up there and get back downstairs into the coolness.
Or maybe I just don't have that much to say? Not sure!

We have been busy busy busy the past few weeks, it seems like every weekend we are running somewhere, but I actually like doing that during summer while the weather is nice. Soon enough I will be complaining that its freezing cold and snowing outside (which right now I am actually looking forward to...) I cannot wait to hang up the fall decorations and light the hazelnut candles and get cozy under a blanket for fall.. I LOVE fall and then we will be celebrating our one year anniversary!

Now here is a funny story regarding that... my husband, the great hunter of Montana... tells me we absolutely cannot have children during hunting season, but yet we got married in the middle of it?! Who knows! Our anniversary is October 7, I was planning a trip to Chico... Well the cabin--shooting star-- I wanted to reserve was booked that weekend.. so we opted for the last weekend in October, and I'm already crossing my fingers that the weather is not *too* bad... so hopefully things work out. So Chad can finish his hunting expeditions and I can have my romantic night in Chico to celebrate one year of marriage.. and what a year it is turning out to be...

I have so much more to write, but best get to work. I'll TRY to write tonight. :o)

up, up, up

Okay, so things are feeling better now. We had a small heart-to-heart, still need to talk more though. I cried last night and sometimes it just feels better to just let it out. I feel much better today! :)

Okay, now I must brag about my super bargain shopping skills and my rummage sale finds for the day. First of all, let me tell you that rummage sales have taken me all over Billings and even got me lost a few times, including today. Oops. I was almost headed to Shepherd because when you are driving 50+ mph it is quite difficult to read green street signs. Ha ha! But I got turned around and to the right place, and spent 70 cents. jeez!

I found a "jj cole bundle me" which is a fleece blanket type thing that goes over the carseat to keep baby warm. Regular $39.95 at Target.. got mine for $3. Wash it up and it will be good as new! :)

Went to some sales over lunchtime and found:

A SwaddleMe, which I have heard great things about over at thenest.com. It was $3, the lady said it even helped her son sleep an extra hour. Hey, I'm all for that! Its blue, but I think thats fine for boy or girl. I'm not going to be all gender specific crazy for our babies.

I also found a "sleep sack" which is something one of my cousin's children had on at Thanksgiving and I had no idea what it was! But I've read about them and they are supposed to help with not having blankets in the crib and using a "sack" to keep baby warm. $2 for a blue one, has some baby embroidery so I think its unisex.
Awesome! She had some great stuff. I also bought some maternity tops for $0.50-$1. You can always use those right?!

heart.felt.post.

okay. haven't posted in forever. just need to get some things down on {paper} for my own sake. i don't think anyone reads this anyways :o). and if you do, here is a look into my mind heart and soul.

have you ever felt like you don't even know who you are ? like you are going through a change in your life and the person that you are and you just can't define it ? thats me, right now. who am i ? i'm not sure. its summer, i should be happy, enjoying the weather and my life. am i taking things too seriously ? i need a friend, i need someone who can understand me and the things that i am going through right now, and i need her in this town. oh, and can she be married too so she understands the complexes of that subject as well ?

i have a really great friend here, she is from nd as well. but she is single and likes to party. don't get me wrong, i love to have a good time. but then you have to worry about how you are going to get home, and how much money you spent at the bar, and what your husband is doing and is the dog okay being left home that long (which apparently not because i got groceries after work tonight and found a wet spot on the rug... grrr!). is this part of growing up ?
i want to find another couple that is like us, preferablly someone from our church {but since we haven't been there in so long, that isn't exactly going to happen soon}, and someone who has relationship tools that we can put to use.

we are working on our "fighting" issue and how to do it "fairly". and it is WORK let me tell you. when you are pissed off at someone, the last thing you want to do is try to figure out to to "fight nicely" with them when you have just been doing it {the wrong} way for so long. i guess if i had to go through this much work with anyone, i'm glad its him.

and his family, they are just so different than what i'm used to. there is so much drama, no matter WHAT happens, there is drama. and it seems like everyone throws their iron in the fire to create that madness. i know its his family and i need to support them. i don't want to be the person who doesn't like their inlaws, but i'm learning quickly that boundaries must be laid and they must be stuck to at all times.

i MISS my family. i MISS my old life. its so hard to keep parts of your old in your new when you just aren't around them anymore and don't see those people as much. and my old friends, a few keep in touch, a select one keeps in touch really well--we talk every day, but most of them expect me to do the calling, the emailing, and the keeping in touch. so i really feel like its a one-sided friendship and i'm ready to just give up.

i think bottom line, i just really need god to send me a friend who "gets" me and is in somewhat of a similar situation or just someone who can shed some light on my situation and get me back to being positive. it seems like when you are surrounded by negativity, it just starts to eat at you and gradually take you over. i don't want to let that happen. i need to find happy things and surround myself with them.

hoping i find myself soon.
