I finished two hats in the past 12 hours!!! First I finished my own patterned baby boy hat, no pics sorry, at the knitting group. THEN I had made this other hat out of Plymouth Encore Colorway Worsted ( probably too scratchy for a baby's head.. oops! I made it anyway). And I used a size 6 circ since my size 7s were being used my the before mentioned hat, well THEN I went to the LYS, bought dpns, got home, was going to finish my hat 4 hours later, realized I bought 8s instead of 6s. grrrr! I was not happy.
Well one super nice lady from the knitting group last night actually gave me a set of size 6 dpns, bless her heart!
So when I got home from knitting group, I worked on my hat and finished it up right before leaving for work (but didn't walk the dog, oops).
So wahooo! I just started another bunny hat with Caron's Simply Soft in white. Its not stretchy like cotton, but its going to be really soft. I'll just keep on knitting and then decide if it will work or not. I knit the other two bunny hats in some rowan denim yarn and it had no stretch either... But for those ears to stand up, I think this yarn will work okay.
Two more days of work left, THANK GOD! I need a break from this place sometimes (but don't we all??). Then I will be home until Labor Day and probably heading to NDak for that weekend (without Chad, of course, prime hunting time = husband m.i.a.) Oh well! He loves to do it.
Okay, so you want some feminist readings? I used to be 100% feminist, my mom actually said she was worried about me. Ha! I still stand up for women's rights though, don't get me wrong.
