my mom, my hero

You know, when you are younger you think your parents don't know a darn thing. Its funny how the way your perceive your parents changes as you get older. And it might be the fact that we live a few hundred miles away and visits aren't as often as we'd like. I would just LOVE to be able to get in the car, drive one hour and see my parents. But, its more like a six hour trip.

My mom came on Friday for Labor Day weekend and stayed until Monday. It was one of the best weekends I have had in a long time. It was just so nice to be able to spend time with her and do the things we love, together. I'm used to always doing them alone and it is quite nice to have someone to share those experiences with.

She is an awesome lady, SO darn smart, and patient. I have much to learn from her. She is truly an amazing woman for what she has went through and all she has done so far.

I was really sad when she left, and I'm still sad... I miss her A LOT and the fact of knowing that we probably won't live closer in the next few years makes it worse. But god has a plan for everyone and I just need to be patient (right mom?).
